Christian HelpingHands
C.H.H. is a local ministry of churches to those in need that was established in 1984. C.H.H. provides a food pantry, utiity/rental assistance and many ongoing and annual assistance programs. FUMC Pearland supports C.H.H. with a financial gift each month, regular donations of food, and by volunteering throughout the year.
Kidz Harbor
Kidz Harbor is a foster care facility located in Liverpool, Texas, that is dedicated to providing a safe harbor for children caught in the storms of life. Their mission is to provide foster children a safe, clean, and nurturing environment in which to live. FUMC Pearland supports Kidz Harbor by sending volunteers one Saturday each month to work on the construction of a group home, donating care items, and organizing activities for the kids.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a cooperation of local churches that deliver hot meals to shut-ins and homebound members of our community. FUMC Pearland supports Meals on Wheels with a financial gift each month and by providing volunteers to pick up and deliver meals every five weeks.
Family Promise - A ministry to homeless families
Family Promise of Clear Creek is an independent affiliate of the Interfaith Hospitality Network. It is one of 149 networks across America working to help homeless families achieve sustainable independence. Its mission is to organize, sponsor, and develop services and facilities for homeless families, including providing and making available: food, clothing, shelter, and low-cost housing. FUMC Pearland is a host congregation for Family Promise of Clear Creek. We support FPCC with a financial gift each month and by providing housing and care for homeless families four weeks each year.
Local Missions
Christmas Basket Ministry
Each year in December, FUMC fills and delivers over 200 baskets with food to prepare a Christmas meal to families in our community.
Blood Drive
FUMC Pearland sponors quarterly blood drives for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
Care Packages for the Homeless
Care packages are put together and left in basket in the church lobbies and office. Feel free to pick up a couple packages and keep them in your car to distribute. If you would like to donate items for the packages, those may be left in collection bins in church lobbies. Donation Item List
