Ardore is a student-led a cappella chamber choir comprised of members of the Moores School of Music Concert Chorale. This ensemble provides students with valuable leadership opportunities as well as an outlet for high-level chamber music singing. Each semester, three to four conductors are chosen to select repertoire, lead rehearsals, and conduct performances both at UH and around our community. Ardore is committed to performing a wide variety of choral music – from standard choral repertoire to student compositions – at a high standard. This unique ensemble provides a collaborative musical environment where students build professionalism and bonds of friendship while growing as musicians and leaders. The current director is Andrea Walker.
Floreat is a select chamber choir at the Moores School of Music which draws membership from singers in various choir in the university. Members sing intermediate to advanced-level mixed choral repertoire selected from a wide range of musical styles and periods. Members build valuable musical skills and develop friendships and relationships that enrich their collegiate experience. Ryan Rogers serves as the current director and conductor.
