Music...
The Music Ministry of FUMC
is laity involved in being
"ministers" in worship
through the power of music
and the fine arts. By daily
prayer, fellowship and
regular practice we seek to
highly develop our God-given
talents so as to offer them
as spiritual gifts to the
glory of God. With our music
and in conjunction with the
interaction of the Holy
Spirit we hope to win people
to Christ, grow them into a
closer relationship with
Him, and serve our Savior in
ways that only music can
accomplish. If preaching is
the logic of our faith then
music is the heart.

Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary
Choir leads worship at the
8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Informal and Traditional
services on
Sunday. They also present
special concerts, pageants,
and travel on tour
throughout the year. We sing
a wide variety of music.
There is something for
everyone and everyone enjoys
the uplifting music. All
adults are encouraged to try
us out. The ability to read
music is not required, just
a heart to sing! A nursery
is provided for rehearsals
and on Sunday morning.
Rehearsals are held on
Wednesday evenings at
7:00 p.m.
Celebration Singers and
Praise Band
The Celebration Singers and
Praise Band provide music
for the 10:30 a.m. Celebration
worship service. The music
presented during this
service is more contemporary
in nature, although many of
our favorite hymns and
praise choruses are sung as
well. Every effort is made
by this group to encourage
the congregation to enjoy
and participate in the
singing, spirit, and
positive worship experience
of this service. Rehearsals
for this group are held on
Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
Joyful Ringers and Praise
Ringers Choirs
Both groups are an exciting
and fun time learning and
playing handbell music. Some
knowledge of music notation
is helpful, but not
altogether necessary. The
Joyful Ringers rehearse on
Wednesday mornings at
10:30 a.m. The Praise Ringers
rehearse on Sunday evenings
at 6:00 p.m. The Youth
Bells are for grades 7-12,
with 6th graders playing in
either the Youth Bells or
Children’s Bells. They play
for worship and special
occasions. Their rehearsal
is at 6pm on Wednesday. Some
knowledge of music notation
is helpful but not
altogether necessary. It’s a
great way to challenge your
musical abilities or
discover a hidden talent.
