We Can't Wait To Meet You!

We know that meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at First Methodist Pearland a great one!

At First Methodist Pearland, we believe that Jesus changes everything. Because of this, we're serous about our mission to follow Jesus, lead others to Jesus, and change the world. We are a community of people who love God, care about families, believe in developing and growing friendships around faith, and have a desire to make a real difference in our community.

Worship services at First Methodist Pearland happen every Sunday morning at
2314 N Grand Blvd Pearland, TX 77578.

We believe that church should be meaningful for everyone. The First Methodist Pearland preaching team provides biblical, relevant teaching in all of our services. We offer two different worship styles – Traditional worship and Celebration (Contemporary) Worship.

Traditional Worship – 8:30am and 10:45 am – Sanctuary

Celebration Worship Service – 10:45am – Family Life Center

From the moment you arrive on campus we hope you’ll feel at home. Volunteers in the parking lot, at the doors, in the lobby, and at the Welcome Center are available to help you get oriented. We recommend you arrive a few minutes early to get your kids checked in and situated, visit our welcome center, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee before heading into worship.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions to help make your visit a pleasant experience.

What should I wear?

At First Methodist Pearland, we focus on the heart more than on the outward appearance. When you come to one of our services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles - many as casual as jeans or shorts, and a smaller number dressed more formally. Most people find themselves somewhere in the middle. Just be sure to dress so that you will be relaxed and able to get the greatest possible impact from our service.

What about my kids?

Children may stay in worship with you if you wish. We encourage families to worship together. During all of our services we have a time especially designed for the children ages K-4th grade called PearlandKIDS Sermon Session! Children are invited into a separate space where they have time for fellowship and an age appropriate lesson during the sermon. Children then return to the worship service for communion with their family or the final worship song.

PearlandKIDS child-care is available for ages birth through preschool during each service.

At 9:30 am we have Sunday School for children grades K-12th.

Do you have communion?

We practice open communion. You do not need to be a member of First Methodist Pearland to participate. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month in our Traditional services and every Sunday in our Celebration service. Gluten-free elements are available. Communion is also served every week after the 8:30 am Traditional service in the Sanctuary.

Am I welcome to try adult Sunday School classes? Do I just show up?

Yes! You are welcome to try any and all of our Sunday School Classes! Our classes meet from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Descriptions of the classes and their locations are available on the Sunday School page.

What if I need more information?

Have questions? Need information? The Welcome Center is located just outside the doors in the Sanctuary and in the Lobby of the Family Life Center and is a great resource for our members and guests alike. Staffed by a friendly and knowledgeable church member, this is the place to find brochures and information about church ministries, programs, and activities.
