How many of you and how many of you have a family member that had a bad experience with organized religion to the point that you walked away from church or had a difficult time coming back? Religion is under attack. And understandably so.
Religion can get pretty strange, pretty quickly. Superstitious. Legalistic. Judgmental. Hypocritical. But religion isn't going away.
Since the beginning of time, men and women have established elaborate rituals and traditions in an attempt to bridge the gap between the seen and the unseen; between the sacred and the secular. And while each of these systems provided ways of communicating with and securing the blessings of a particular deity, none provided the one thing humankind desires most—assurance. But with Jesus, all of that changed.
Jesus didn’t come to start a new religion; Jesus came to start a revolution.
